IEM Katowice New Legends Stage team list finalised

All 16 participants for the IEM Katowice Major's New Legends Stage have been determined following the end of the New Challengers Stage.

Cloud9 secured the final spot in the New Legends Stage after defeating Winstrike 2-0 in the final Swiss round, joining seven other Challengers and the top eight sides from the FACEIT Major in the last 16, which will be held at the International Congress Center (ICC) in front of a small crowd.

Just like in the New Challengers Stage, each of 16 participants will be asked to rank their opponents, with the scores then added up to create a "Player-Selected Seeding", which will be used to determine the match-ups for the first round of the Swiss stage.

The Major will continue on Wednesday with the New Legends Stage

Each team will be assigned an ELO rating based on their seed, and this rating will be adjusted after every round - the winners taking a portion of the losers' points - and the following round's match-ups are determined accordingly.

According to ESL Vice President of Pro Gaming Michal "Carmac" Blicharz, the initial seeding and first-round match-ups will "probably" be revealed on Tuesday, one day before the start of the last-16 stage.
